To freely open/close any desired part or the whole of a partition wall which is composed of a plurality of respective movable glass panels; to cause the glass panel to demonstrate transparency to the utmost by making longitudinal sides of the glass panel frameless so as to enlarge an opening area of the glass panel; to prevent a sound from intruding from a gap between the glass panels; and to prevent the glass panels from being damaged by colliding with each other, when the glass panels are moved.
In this movable partition wall, a supporting fitting 10 is fixed to a suspending bolt 7 which is suspended from a suspended fitting 6 freely travelable along a rail 3 fixed to a ceiling section in a room, and an upper end of the glass panel 2 is fastened and fixed by means of the supporting fitting 10, so that the glass panel 2 with no metal frame can be suspended and supported. Rubber members 4 for sound insulation are stuck throughout the vertical lengths of meeting parts of end surfaces on the longitudinal sides of the adjacent glass panels 2, and put into a compressed or close contact state when the glass panel is put into a closed state.
