Abstract:
PURPOSE:To increase the width of the opening of a movable roof device and to ensure a head clearance by a method wherein the central part of a rear roof is coupled to the side end part or a middle roof through a rink arm extended in the direction of the width of a car body. CONSTITUTION:A first guide rail 9 curved outwardly and rearwardly of the central part of a car body is extended to the upper surface of a rear roof 4, and a rink arm 12 is slidably held to the guide rail 9. The front end of a middle part roof 3 is mounted to second rails 20 of a coupling member 8. A roller follower 23 of a rink arm 12 is engaged with third guide rails 22 situated on the under surfaces on both sides, in the direction of width of a car body, of the rear part of the middle roof 3. Since a link mechanism and a guide rail are not mounted to the side part of a roof opening part, a head clearance is ensured.
