Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the wide width of a roof opening by a method wherein the front end side of a middle part is longitudinally movably mounted to a front and rear roof coupling member, and the other end of a link arm movable along guide rails installed to a rear roof is engaged with a guide member on the rear end side of the middle roof. CONSTITUTION:A car body roof is formed with a front roof 2 and a rear roof 4, secured to a car body, and a longitudinally movable and inclinable middle roof 3. The front and rear roofs 2 and 4 are intercoupled through a coupling member 8 extending along the center of a car body, a first guide member 20 is formed, and the front end side of the middle roof 3 is engaged therewith. A pair of curved second guide rails 9 are installed to the rear roof 4. A link arm 12 is movably guided through a wire mechanism, and the other end of the link arm 12 is engaged with third guide rails 22 installed on the rear end side of the middle roof 3. The middle roof is rendered longitudinally movable and inclinable, and a wide opening width can be provided.
