Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an arch-rise beam depth and a structural load by transferring traveling trucks provided in the arch-span of a movable roof panel along rails laid on a fixed roof.
SOLUTION: Movable roof panels 8, 8 are provided with tied main arches 3, 3 formed to have an arched shape and fastened by tie cables at both ends of the arch and a main arch 1 formed to have an arched shape and fitted with traveling trucks 5,... at the lower middle part of the arch-span. The opening 9a of a fixed roof 9 is opened or closed by the movable roof panels 8, by transferring the traveling trucks 5 along the rails 6 laid on the fixed roof 9. Therefore, the bending moment is reduced by the arch action of respective arches 1, 3 and the horizontal reaction of the tied main arch 3 is cancelled off by the initial prestressing force to the tie cables. Accordingly, the arch-rise beam depth and the structural load are reduced.
