PURPOSE: To move a truck smoothly in a plurality of directions, by a method wherein all-sided rollers are provided on the bottom surface of a movable truck on the side to which the center of gravity of the truck is deviated, while auxiliary rollers are provided on the opposite side so that the main axes of the two types of rollers are orthogonal to each other.

CONSTITUTION: Main all-sided rollers 5X, 5Y are provided on a machine base 1 on the side to which the position of the center of gravity G of the truck is deviated. The rollers 5X, 5Y consist of roller groups each of which includes three all-sided rollers connected to each other, and each of the rollers 5X, 5Y supports approximately one half of the total weight of the truck. The rollers 5X, 5Y are so placed that their respective main axese S are orthogonal to each other, and they are driven to rotate by motors 7, 8, respectively. On the base 1 on the side opposite of the side of the center of gravity G, auxiliary all-sided rollers 6X, 6Y are placed through elastic bodies 34, 41 so that their respective main axes are orthogonal to each other, and they are driven to rotate by motors 9, 10, respectively. The motors 7, 8, 9, 10 are so controlled that those having their main axes in the same direction are synchronously driven to rotate.
