PURPOSE: To drive movable part by the variation of the temperature caused by the turning on and off a lighting system, by using a member in which a shape-memory alloy and a spring are bound together for each movable part of a movable type lighting shade.

CONSTITUTION: When a shade is made in a flower design, for example, members in which a shape-memory alloy 6 and a spring 5 are bound together with a metal fitting 7 are provided to plural petals 1 respectively. The petals 1 are installed on a base board 2, and an incandescent lamp 4 is screwed to a receptacle 3 provided on the base board 2, so as to form a flower bud condition. When the incandescent lamp 4 is lighted, the temperature is raised, and when it reaches a specific temperature, the shape-memory alloy 6 restores the memory and the condition of opening the petals is maintained. When the incandescent lamp 4 is turned off, the temperature is lowered, the shape-memory alloy 6 loses the memory, and the flower is returned to the bud condition. Consequently, a movable type lighting shade which opens and closes the flower automatically by turning on and off the incandescent lamp 4 can be obtained.
