Abstract:
To enable a moving device to perform fast operation by suppressing vibration in a document reader by suppressing overshooting (excessive vibration).
In the document reader, the moving device is equipped with a 1st mirror base mounted with a lamp 18 which irradiates a document and a stepping motor 1 which drives the 1st mirror base in its moving direction and the stepping motor transmits to the 1st mirror base its driving force of acceleration 29 canceling the acceleration F of the 1st mirror base to the 1st mirror base at timing E of a change in the direction of the acceleration of the 1st mirror base. Consequently, the vibration of the 1st mirror base in the moving direction after the timing E can be attenuated.
