PURPOSE: To control reaction generated by the rotation of a brush and control optionally the moving direction of a rotating brush device by forming a protrusion protruded from an envelope to the outside on a casing and deviating the position of protrusion from a rotating shaft of the brush to the outer edge side of the casing.
CONSTITUTION: One solenoid actuator 8 is fixed on an outer peripheral point P1 of a safety cover 5 on the position on a line forming an angle of 90° to the right of the line connecting a rotation center O of a disk brush and the end E of a handle 6. Similarly the other solenoid actuator 9 is disposed on the position P2 on the line forming an angle of 90° to the left to the line connecting the rotation center O with the end E. The disk brush is rotated in the counterclockwise direction 15. At that time, counterforce in the clockwise direction is received by the disk brush from a cleaning surface to be in contact with. The rotation of the safety cover 5 or the like generated by the reaction can be discontinued by retaining the vicinity of the end E of the handle 6. Provided both actuators 8 and 9 are not provided, an underwater cleaner is moved to the right direction, with the retaining point E as its center. Even corners or narrow sites can be cleaned easily and thoroughly by the arrangement.
