PURPOSE: To sufficiently take a clearance between the surface of a record and the cartridge, and secure a vertical tracking angle, by providing no magnet nor coil on the surface of a record.

CONSTITUTION: A moving magnet 14 which has been magnetized in the direction of thickness is provided on the rear end part of the cantilever 12, and the right channel cores 14, 14' whose tip parts have been bifurcated so as to pinch at prescribed intervals are provided in the direction of thickness of said magnet. Also, the left channel cores 15, 15' are provided in the same way. And, the rear end parts of each core are connected, and the right and left channel signal detection coils 16, 17 are wound. In the figure, 18 is a damper for holding the moving magnet 13 to the holder so as to oscillate freely.
