PURPOSE: To lighten a vibration system and to increase an output by arranging two E-shaped magnetic structures on the nonmagnetic substance armature of a moving magnet type pickup cartridge.

CONSTITUTION: At the base end of cantilever 2, nonmagnetic armature 3 is provided, E-shaped magnetic structures 5 having magnets 4 arranged are arranged at the outer circumference of armature 3, and the signal detection part composed of signal detecting coil 8 and core 9 is arranged opposing closely to those E-shaped magnetic atructures 5. In this constitution, for example, if magnetic structure 5 and the signal detection part are positioned as shown by (a), no magnetic flux is generated at core 9 and when they are placed as shown by (b) and (c), magnetic flux shown by the dotted lines is generated. Therefore, the vibration system is small, the amarture can be lightened because of nonmagnetism an right and left channels are independent, so that while channel separation is excellent, the output is increased.
