To enhance the operating performance of a lock means to lock a movable load table able to emerge and retract in the fore-and-aft direction, the locking being generated in the retracting limit position and the advancing limit position.

The moving rack device is equipped with the movable load table 6 able to emerge and retract in the fore-and-aft direction and the lock means 43 to lock the load table 6 in the retracting limit position and the advancing limit position, wherein the lock means 43 is composed of a retracting limit side engaging member 48 and an advancing limit side engaging member 49 installed on the side with a rack frame 2, a member 47 to be engaged installed at the tail of the load table 6 to make automatic engagement with the members 48 and 49, an operating tool (lever 46) installed at the forefront of the load table 6, and an interlocking mechanism (rotary operation shaft 45) to put the operating tool (lever 46) interlocking with the member 47 to be engaged so that the operating tool (lever 46) can disengage the member 47 to be engaged.
