PURPOSE: To provide a moxibustion device which saves the labor of many times of igniting and extinguishing and stabilizes the temp. of a heat accumulation part at a specified temp. so as to enhance a moxibustion effect by providing the moxibustion device with the heat accumulation part near its pointed end.

CONSTITUTION: This moxibustion device 10 is provided with a point shaped end member 14 having the pointed end 12 to be brought into contact with the body and a wick 16 for heating the pointed end 12 by burning fire. The pointed end 12 is provided with the heat accumulation part 20. The heat accumulation part 20 is formed of a heat resistant metallic material. The point shaped end member 14 and the pointed end 12 are heated and heat is accumulated in the heat accumulation part 20 when the wick 16 is ignited. The heat of the heat accumulation part 20 is, thus, gradually transferred to the lesion of the body and the lesion is subjected to moxibustion when the fire is once extinguished and the pointed end 12 is pressed to the acupuncture point, etc., of the body. Since the heat is gradually transferred to the lesion, the lesion does not cool immediately. The labor for many times of igniting and extinguishing is, therefore, eliminated. Since the temp. of the pointed end 12 does not rise sharply, a possibility of a burn is eliminated.
