Abstract:

To provide an inexpensive effective therapeutic method for treatment of cystic fibrosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, etc., to store mucus in lung, and a therapeutic method to lower elasticity and viscosity of the mucus, improve cough and clean the mucus in respiratory tract and enable cleaning by ciliary action.

There is provided a composition for promoting cleaning of mucus and containing one or more mucoactive agents for decreasing crosslinking in the mucus, diluting the mucus and/or digesting naked DNA and cellular debris in the mucus.
