Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mucosal vaccine composition which is be useful as a preventive or therapeutic agent of infectious diseases or cancer, can induce a systemic immune response and a mucosal immune response safely and effectively, and can be injected to oral mucosa, ophthalmic mucosa, ear mucosa, reproductive organ mucosa, pharyngeal mucosa, respiratory tract mucosa, tunica mucosa, pulmonary mucosa, gastric mucosa, intestinal mucosa, or rectal mucosa.SOLUTION: The invention provides a mucosal vaccine composition containing at least one kind of antigens, and, as an immunostimulant, a lipopolysaccharide derived from at least one kind of Gram negative bacteria, such as Serratia, Leclercia, Rahnella, Acidicaldus, Acidiphilium, Acidisphaera, Acidocella, Acidomonas, Asaia, Belnapia, Craurococcus, Gluconacetobacter, Gluconobacter, Kozakia, Leahibacter, Muricoccus, or a salt thereof.
