PURPOSE: To provide a mud splash scattering preventive member which prevents mud and mud water splashed up with a heel or the like from being scattered and prevents the mud and the mud water from being attached to a trouser skirt or a person walking behind by fitting it to a footgear.

CONSTITUTION: A fitting portion 2 formed of rubber is fitted to the heel of a shoe 10 for men, and a mud splash scattering preventer 1 is engagingly fixed. When walking is conducted by wearing the shoe 10 for men, each heel 11 splashes up mud and mud water to the rear part, but the mud and the mud water thus splashed up hit a mud preventive portion 3, and scattering is prevented. Accordingly, it can be prevented that the mud and the mud water thus splashed up are attached to the skirts of the trousers or persons walking behind him.
