To provide an efficient muddy material drier by which a muddy material is uniformly dried at a high rate, hence the device is miniaturized, the power cost is reduced, the formation of the sludge lump is minimized when the material is charged into a drying vessel, the sludge lump formed in the drying process is easily disintegrated, and uneven drying is prevented.
This muddy material drier is provided with a closed cylindrical drying vessel having a muddy material inlet and a dried material outlet, a rotating shaft erected at the vertical axial center of the vessel, a long-sized supporting member projecting radially from the intermediate stage of the shaft, a disintegrating means consisting of a plurality of long-sized disintegrating members suspended from the supporting member and fixed and a long-sized impeller projecting radially from the rotating shaft below the disintegrating means and close to the bottom face of the drying vessel.
