Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable reduction of size and eliminate influence of constant wave and howling by arranging a passive muffler between a microphone and a speaker in a sound propagation path in a muffler device having the muffler and an electronic sound absorbing device.
CONSTITUTION: A muffler device which attenuates exhaust noises propagated to the outside through an exhaust duct 3 of an engine 10 has a muffler 1 arranged between a primary microphone composing an electronic muffler device 2 and a sound absorbing speaker 6. The muffler 1 is arranged inside a specified space L0 formed inside the exhaust duct 3 for managing treatment time required for controlling an output signal of the primary microphone 4 by means of the controller 5. A length L2 between a virtual sound source P generated in the muffler 1 and an exhaust port 3a of the exhaust duct 3 is reduced comparing with a conventional case, while suppressing generation of constant wave in a low sound area.
