Abstract:
The present invention efficiently reduces the temperature of discharged exhaust gas by forming a plurality of exhaust passages in a limited space within a muffler. This muffler 30 is provided with: a muffler body (31, 32) having formed in a first surface 32a thereof an outflow opening 38 for exhaust gas; and a restriction member 40 which, between the restriction member 40 and the first surface 32a, forms an exhaust passage for exhaust gas flowing out of the outflow opening 38. The restriction member 40 has protrusions 42-45 which form tubular exhaust passages each having one end connected to the outflow opening and each also having the other end open to the outside. Bent sections 39a-39c recessed inward in the direction opposite the direction in which the protrusions 42-45 protrude are formed at the front edge of the outflow opening 38 in the first surface 32a facing the protrusions. The bent sections 39a-39c each connect adjacent protrusions 42-45 at locations inside the outer surface of the first surface 32a.
