Title:
MUFFLER FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2011163144
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To solve a problem that a compact chamber has small silencing effect.

A muffler is so configured that in comparison with a combination of a chamber and a silencer shown in Fig. 1, exhaust sound is reduced to such an extent that the silencer is not required only by welding a tail pipe after being inserted into the middle of a throttle portion. Therefore, the muffler is applied to most internal combustion engines by devising the shape and size of the chamber and the diameter of the tail pipe according to various engines. This muffler can be achieved in such a manner that the tail pipe with a hole opened in a predetermined position in the chamber is inserted into an appropriate position and fixed by welding or the like. The tail pipe is moved backward and forward with the internal combustion engine rotated and is extended to a position shown in Fig. 3 where the silencing effect is most improved, thereby achieving construction providing the best effect.
