Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a mulching material for both planting and covering fixable on the ground surface without using anchor pins and capable of completely covering even an edge of a planting belt and a method for application thereof.
SOLUTION: This mulching material (1) for covering a planting belt (10) comprises a body part (2) covering the planting belt (10) and the edge part (3) covering a curb (12) in parallel to the planting belt (10). The mulching material (1) is provided with an auxiliary piece (4) having one lateral edge part (4a) layered on a surface (3a) to be covered of the edge part (3) and the side of the other lateral edge part (4b) forming a free end and extending along the body part (2). The method for application thereof comprises forming a groove (14) along the curb (12) in a first step, placing and backfilling the other lateral edge of the auxiliary piece (4) in the groove (14) in a second step and covering the planting belt (10) with the body part (2) and bonding the edge part (3) to the curb (12) in a third step.
