Title:
MULTI-BEAM LIGHT SOURCE DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1123988
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a multi-beam light source device having a simple configuration and an excellent aging stability and to make it possible to easily adjust beam spot intervals. SOLUTION: This light source device has a light source part comprising a plurality of semiconductor laser 101, 102, a plurality of collimator lenses 104, 105 being paired with the semiconductor laser 101, 102 and collimating each light beam into a parallel light flux, and a holding member 103 arranging a plurality of the semiconductor laser 101, 102 and the collimator lenses 104, 105 in a direction of a main scanning and holding them in one body. And, the above semiconductor distance D and the collimator distance d have a relation of D/d>1, and also the above light source part is held so as to be positioned in a direction of rotation making an emitting axis as a rotary axis. Thus, it is possible to maintain the relative positions against environmental changes even by combination of general use semiconductors and also keep a stable optical axis accuracy and further make sub-scanning directional pitches adjustable.
