Abstract:

PURPOSE: To ensure highly efficient transporting work by connecting a branch guide rail to main guide rails on the traveling line of a transportation device through a change-over point consisting of a rotary branch device for an ensured wide transportable range by minimum lines.

CONSTITUTION: When the direction of a transportation device D which travels on a main guide rail A is necessary to chage, the transportation device D which travels on the main guide rail A is made to travel to a position beneath a rotary branch device C. In other words, it is made to travel to a position suspended by a turning guide rail C' in the rotary branch device C. Next, the driving motor 24 of the rotary branch device C is operated to turn the turning guide rail C' by 90 degree. As a result, the turning guide rail C' meets the branch guide rail B. When the traveling motor of the transportation device D is started, the transportation device D changes its direction to the rectangular direction for traveling along the branch guide rail B side.
