Abstract:

To provide an image capture system that employs a plurality of image sensors but reduces the thickness, while capable of maintaining or improving image quality.SOLUTION: A sensor assembly 100 includes image sensors 105, 125, reflective surfaces 110, 135, lens assemblies 115, 130, and a central reflective surface 120, which are mounted on a substrate 150. Positioning the reflective surface near the plurality of image sensors enables the sensors to capture together an image with a wide field of view and a longer focal length. Different portions of a scene captured by the image sensors may overlap, and may be aligned and cropped to generate a target image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
