A pattern generation part 104 generates a pattern of a specific signal which assigns a plurality of subcarriers arrayed in the direction of the frequency axis to respective subcarriers of a matrix constituted by arraying a plurality of symbols in the direction of the time axis. This pattern is determined on the basis of data 103 being the second transmission data. A mapping part 105 assigns subcarriers modulated by data 101 in the modulator 102 and the pattern of the specific signal to respective subcarriers of the matrix.
