In a multi-color printing lithographic printing press provided with a plurality of sets of printing units which are turned simultaneously by contacting a blanket cylinder, contacted with a plate cylinder, with other cylinders, at least one printing unit is provided with split plate cylinders PC, PC', divided into two parts in the axial direction thereof and respective divided parts can be moved individually into the axial direction thereof while being turned into the direction of circumference thereof, motor driving means 4, 4a, 5, 5a, which are corresponding to respective divided parts of the split plate cylinders and controllable synchronously, and transmission means GD, GD', GP, GP', provided between respective corresponding divided parts and the motor driving means, while one of the transmission means provided respectively between two divided parts of the split plate cylinder and the motor driving means corresponding to respective divided parts are formed so as to be capable of transmitting to blanket cylinders BC, BC' contacted with the divided plate cylinders PCa, PCa' and, in this case, a part which has smaller diameter between the divided parts and the blanket cylinders is arranged at the upstream side of transmission.
