Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of contact noise, galling, fastening and excessive abrasion on a connection part of a mechanism for displacing a movable portion of a dynamic exhaust system and the movable portion.SOLUTION: An exhaust device of a multi-cylinder engine includes: a nozzle portion provided with a plurality of nozzle internal passages extended from a plurality of independent exhaust passages respectively connected to a plurality of cylinders; a cylindrical movable portion having an inflow portion in which a gas discharged from the nozzle internal passages flows, and a collecting portion in which the gases having passed through the inflow portion are collected, and which is disposed at a downstream side of the nozzle portion displaceably in an upstream/downstream direction to reduce and enlarge a flow channel area of the inflow portion by the displacement; and a moving mechanism for displacing the movable portion in the upstream/downstream direction. The moving mechanism is oscillatable along the upstream/downstream direction, and includes: an operating portion having a first face composed of a recessed face of a circular arc-shaped cross section, and a second face composed of a projecting face of a circular arc-shaped cross section; and an operated portion including a groove portion for slidably supporting the operating portion by the projecting face along the first face and the recessed face along the second face, and displacing the movable portion in the upstream/downstream direction while sliding the oscillating operating portion in the groove portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
