Abstract:
To reduce the weight of a crankshaft while securing rotation balance.SOLUTION: In the case of a three-cylinder internal combustion engine, balance weights 12, 13 are arranged at a first crank arm 6 and a third crank arm 10, however, a balance weight is not arranged at a second crank arm 8. Then, by making centers of gravities 19, 20 of a crank pulley 14 fixed to one end of a crankshaft 1 and a sensing plate 17 fixed to the other end of the crankshaft 1 located at a side opposite to a protrusion direction of the second crank arm 8, the crank pulley 14 and the sensing plate 17 are made to substitute for a balance weight 21 which should be arranged at the second crank arm 8.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
