Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a multi-directional controlling element for use with a game machine or the like into a simple structure which is small in outer dimension, and which has a small number of component parts.
SOLUTION: A plurality of switches 12A-12D which operate when pressed upward are placed on the lower surface of a base 11 having a hole 11A therein, and at equally distant positions from the hole 11A, and a control shaft 14 supported by a shaft supporting part 13A below the switches 12A, 12C is tilted so that the switches 12A, 12C are driven by a drive 15 secured to the drive shaft 14. Therefore, a multi-directional controlling element having a predetermined control stroke and good controllability can be obtained using a structure which is small in outer dimension and which has a small number of component parts, and small and thin control input equipment of good controllability which uses the controlling element can be obtained.
