To provide a multi-disk clutch reinforced for high load and capable of enhancing operability and silence thereof.
The multi-disk device transmits/shuts down the power from a flywheel 3 on an engine side to/from an input shaft 4 of a transmission, and comprises a clutch disk assembly 6, and a clutch cover assembly 6 having a pressure plate 7 to press the clutch disk assembly 6 against the flywheel 3. The clutch disk assembly 6 comprises a spline hub 20, a friction connection unit 40, and a damper mechanism 30 to elastically connect the spline hub 20 to the friction connection unit 40 in the rotational direction. The friction connection unit 40 has a ring member 44 connected to the outer circumferential side of the damper mechanism 30, a plurality of first friction plates 41, and a plurality of friction plates 42 arranged between the plurality of friction plates 41, and at least one of the plurality of first friction plates 41 consists of a carbon composite material.
