Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To invariably apply stable elastic force to adjacent friction disks even when a return spring receives large centrifugal force by using a plate-like spring fixed to a coupling lug as the return spring provided between the drive friction disks.
SOLUTION: Many hook grooves 22 extending in the axial direction are provided on the circular barrel section 21 of a clutch outer 15, and many drive friction disks 30 are coupled by coupling lugs 30a provided on the outer periphery movably in the axial direction only. A return spring 35 is inserted and fixed from the outside of the coupling lug 30a formed on the outer periphery of each friction disk 30. The return spring 35 acts in the direction to separate adjacent friction disks 30. The return spring 35 is made of a quenched steel sheet, it is provided with a U-shaped main body 35a and blade sections 35b, 35b obliquely extending from the main body 35a, and a coupling pawl 35c provided on the main body 35a is coupled with a small hole 30b formed on the coupling lug 30a as a release stop. The return spring 35 hardly receives the effect of the centrifugal force by rotation, and the elasticity for separating the friction disks 30 from each other is stabilized.
