To provide a thin multi-eye imaging apparatus capable of performing photographing in a wide range in a horizontal direction and in a vertical direction, similarly to photographing using a wide angle lens.

A multi-eye imaging apparatus 10 includes: a plurality of imaging units 15a to 15i in which two or more imaging units are two-dimensionally arranged in the horizontal direction and two or more imaging units are two-dimensionally arranged in the vertical direction and which include lenses 16 and imaging elements 17 respectively, and are configured so that a part of the photographic ranges of adjacent units are overlapped with each other; an inclination control part 13 which is means for changing the photographing directions of the respective imaging units by inclining respective optical axes L15a to L15i of the imaging units 15a to 15i in the horizontal direction or in the vertical direction and which makes the respective optical axes L15a to L15i parallel in a front direction in normal use and radially inclines the optical axes L15a to L15i in wide-angle photographing; and an image synthesizing part 12 which synthesizes images obtained by the imaging units 15a to 15i, to generate a synthesized image whose photographic range is wider than those of the images obtained by the respective imaging units 15a to 15i.
