To reduce the cost of equipment by decreasing three rolling mills which are required at a minimum in a conventional intermediate/finish rolling down to two and also to smoothly rolling even a wide flange shape whose web thickness is extremely thinner as compared with its flange thickness.

Roll parts 22, 23 for reducing the web thickness with which the web of the wide flange shape 13 is reduced and not only rolls 30, 31 for reducing the flange thickness with which the right and left sides of the flanges of the wide flange shape 13 are reduced but roll parts 32-35 for edging the flanges with which the side edge parts of the flanges of the wide flange shape 13 are reduced are integrally incorporated and the roll parts 32-35 for edging the flange are movable between the reduction position and the retraction position by a roll retracting mechanism. And, not only the roll parts 22, 23 for reducing the web thickness but the roll parts 32-35 for edging the flange are independently rotationally driven with rotationally driving devices.
