To construct a continuous underground wall using precast concrete slabs, which is equipped with a high water shutoff function, water permeating function, acid-proof and alkali-proof functions, etc., as applicable in accordance with the required consideration to the purpose of use and the given environment.

A continuous underground wall 1 is composed of a functional layer 4 formed by filling or mixing of a functional material and structural wall elements 2 and 3 made from precast concrete slabs positioned on both sides of the layer 4 which is pinched thereby. The functional material should be one or more selected among non-permeative material, permeative material, acid-proof and alkali-proof material, and purifying adsorption material, and therewith the resultant underground wall 1 is equipped with various functions as required according to the intended use of the wall.
