To provide a method for multi-layered coating film formation, which, in coating of a metallic object, can reduce the production of a volatile organic compound to cope with environmental problems and, at the same time, can form a multi-layered coating film having excellent finishing properties, corrosion resistance, chipping resistance and other properties.
This method for multi-layered coating film formation comprises coating a first colored coating material, a second colored coating material, and a clear coating material in that order in a wet-on-wet manner onto a surface of a cured coating film of a specific electrodeposition coating material having no significant heating loss, and simultaneously heat curing the coating films of three layers.
