PURPOSE: To prepare a multi-layer laminate having improved interlayer adhesivity in hot water, and suitable to food packaging, etc., by the co-extrusion of ethylene- vinyl alcohol copolymer and a specific polyethylene composition.
CONSTITUTION: A multi-layer laminate film is prepared by the co-extrusion of (A) a polyethylene composition composed of (a) 94.9-50 parts by weight of high pressure polyethylene, (b) 0.1-20 parts of medium or low pressure polyethylene (partially) grafted with an unsaturated carboxylic acid (derivative), and (c) 5-40 parts of an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer having an ethylene content of 93-99 mole% and a density of 0.92-0.945 g/cm3, and (B) a thermoplastic resin composed of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer, a polyamide resin and/or other thermoplastic resin.
EFFECT: The film has excellent resistances to gas and moisture vapor transmission, and high transparancy, heat-sealability, and squeezing characteristics
