Abstract:
To provide a multi-line self-aligning roller bearing, in which rollers on two lines aligned in an axis direction are provided with axial load and radial load, ratio in contact angles of the rollers on both lines and range of contact angle of the rollers on both lines are appropriately so defined that being suitable for use in a state where the rollers are provided with different level load respectively and within a range of size requirement, and thereby load capacity of a roller provided with the axial load may be sufficiently increased.SOLUTION: A multi-line self-aligning roller bearing 1 has a configuration that an outer ring raceway surface 3a is spherical and rollers 4, 5 on two lines have a sectional shape that a peripheral surface extends along the raceway surface 3a. The rollers 4, 5 on two lines have different length. The longer roller 5 has a length L2 of 36% or more of the width B of the bearing. The ratio of a contact angle θ1 of the shorter roller 4 and a contact angle θ2 of the longer roller 5 is within 1:2 to 1:4. The contact angle θ1 of the shorter roller 4 is within a range of 3° to 5° and the contact angle θ2 of the longer roller 5 is within a range of 11° to 14°.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
