Title:
MULTI-LINK ENGINE LINK GEOMETRY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2009133298
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a link geometry of a multi-link engine capable of preventing the cylinder liner from being deformed even if a cylinder liner bottom end is chipped and the height thereof in the cylinder shaft direction is not uniform and is at least partially uneven.

The link geometry of the multi-link engine includes an upper link 11, a lower link 12 and a control link 13. A cylinder liner 31a of a cylinder 31 is formed so that the heights of lower ends 31b, 31c and 31e thereof in the cylinder axial direction are not uniform and are at least partially uneven, and an angle between an upper link axial line and a cylinder axial line is minimized in a crank angle range at which a lower end of a piston skirt is below an uppermost portion 31b of the cylinder liner lower end.
