Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the multi-mode (in general, triple mode) cavity resonator 1 for a waveguide band pass filter without the need for a tuning screw and a coupling screw and for round shaping.
SOLUTION: The cavity resonator includes a waveguide element like an iris TR1 and a waveguide segment CR2. The waveguide segment is placed at a position eccentric in general with respect to a general extention of the cavity resonator, especially a major axis Z of the cavity resonator. The cavity resonator is used for a narrow band filter for satellite communication. The filter consisting of the cavity resonator 1 of a type of this embodiment is fully designed with an aid of an electronic computer and requires no calibration.
