Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize indoor radio communication with high quality by means of a simple antenna configuration by reducing multi-path fading.
SOLUTION: Let a height of a ceiling 4 in a room be H, a height from a floor 1 to an antenna 8 of a terminal station be Hr, a distance between a base station antenna 7 and the ceiling 4 be Ht, and a distance from the base station antenna 7 to a wall at an angle of &phiv with respect to the X axis on a horizontal plane be D&phiv , then a radio wave of a range θd&phiv expressed by θd&phiv =tan-1 ((H-(Ht+Hr))/D&phiv ) is shut by a fence 13 made of a material such as a radio wave shield that surrounds the radio base station antenna 7, and a vertical downward length H&phiv from the ceiling 4 of the fence 13 almost satisfies an equation H&phiv =Ht+R&phiv tan(θd&phiv )-λR&phiv (1-R&phiv /D&phiv ), where R&phiv is a distance from the base station antenna 7 to the fence 13 in a direction &phiv .
