Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-layered, multi-piece golf ball providing for both high resilience and a soft feeling at the hitting, and making it easy to achieve an accurate concentric arrangement of a core and an intermediate layer, and its method of manufacture.
SOLUTION: The multi-layered, multi-piece golf ball 1 has a core 3, an intermediate layer 5 and a cover 7. The core 3 has a sphere part 9 and ribs 11 provided on the surface of the sphere part 9 and having a height approximately equal to the thickness of the intermediate layer 5. The intermediate layer 5 is packed into a plurality of recessed parts 13 surrounded by the ribs 11 on the surface of the sphere part 9.
