Title:
MULTI-PIECE SOLID GOLF BALL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3543629
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give a golf ball an excellent flying performance and an extremely soft and good impact feeling.
SOLUTION: A surrounding layer 2 and intermediate layer 3 have a Shore D hardness from 10 to 50, where the Shore D hardness of the surrounding layer 2 is not more than that of the intermediate layer 3 which is also set not more than that of a cover 4. A solid core 1 exhibits deformation A from 2.5 to 7.0 mm under a load of 100 kg. Under a load of 100 kg, one sphere consisting of the solid core 1 covered in the surrounding layer 2, another consisting of the above sphere further covered in the intermediate layer 3, and the complete ball exhibit respective deformation values B, C and D all measured in millimeters, which satisfy relations: 0.85≤B/A≤1.15, 0.85≤C/B≤1.15, 0.7≤D/C≤1.0.
