To obtain multi-ply viscose-coated paper that is useful for adhesive tapes, and has excellent strength and low strength reduction due to wetting with water.

This multi-ply viscose-coated paper is obtained by providing a layer containing water-soluble polymer molecules, such as polyvinyl alcohol, at least on one surface of viscose-coated paper produced by coating base paper composed of pulp, etc., with a viscose liquid. The viscose-coated paper has large wet strength so as to enable immersion coating and increase of coating speed, thus securing high productivity, and can be recycled after being used as reinforcement paper for cardboard, adhesive tapes, mounting paper for labels, paper containers, etc.
