Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a hardtop vehicle providing the desired feeling of open air and being excellent in heat insulation and durability.
CONSTITUTION: An automobile roof portion 16 comprises an intermediate panel 22 and a rear panel 24 which are independently retractable. The panels 22, 24 can be stored together within a rear deck. The rear edge of the intermediate panel 22 can be tilted upward to a venting position and the panel 22 can be juxtaposed on the rear panel 24 to a targa position. The panels 22, 24 can be fully stored in the deck to an open position.
