To provide a multi-purpose bag which cannot only be used as a bag enabling to-be-housed articles such as makeup tools to be housed, but also can house long articles such as an umbrella and a cane as well.

A bag-like body section 12 of this multi-purpose bag 10 is formed into a bag shape by stacking a first sheet 14 and a second sheet 16. On the proximal end section 12C of the bag-like body section 12, an opening section opening/closing means 22 for opening/closing an opening section 20 is formed. On one side edge 12D of the bag-like body section 12, a one-side edge fastening means 30 is installed, and on the other side edge 12E, the other side edge fastening means 40 is installed. On the fist sheet 14 of the bag-like body section 12, a first hook-and-loop tape 54 is attached, and on the second sheet 16, a second hook-and-loop tape 56 is attached. On the proximal end section side of the bag-like body section 12, a length adjustable belt 60 is arranged.
