To provide a multi-range load cell balance capable of preventing the generation of permanent strain in a load cell without causing a stress of the maximum weight or greater in each straining part even when an object to be weighed far exceeding the maximum weight is put on the measurement tray.
In a multi-range load cell balance, a multi-range load cell 2 comprises a high maximum weight straining part and a low maximum weight straining part, the high maximum weight straining part being fixedly supported by a base plate 1 and a measurement tray 4 being placed via a tray receiving plate on a load receiving member 3 provided to the low maximum weight straining part. The load receiving member is disposed so as to include the low maximum weight straining part. The upper part of the load receiving member is adapted to project upward penetrating an opening 13a of a load top plate supported almost horizontally apart from the top face of the multi-range load cell. The lower part of the load receiving member is disposed to oppose a receiving plate 14 supported almost horizontally apart from the lower face of the multi-range load cell, and stopper parts 5a and 5b are provided to the upper and lower parts of the load receiving member respectively, the stopper parts 5a and 5b transmitting load to the high maximum weight straining part when the measuring weight exceeds the maximum load of the low maximum weight straining part.
