PURPOSE: To inexpensively provide a multi spindle drilling device by which a large number of holes can be highly accurately drilled in a platelike work.

CONSTITUTION: A base 1 is provided with two drilling units 18, 19 in which a plurality of drilling means 31 are juxtaposed. The respective drilling units 18, 19 are provided with a plurality of drilling means 31 so as to be moved in the Y direction by a Y-axis moving means 21 and also to be minutely moved in the X direction by a X-axis adjusting means 34. The drilling unit 18 on one side is provided with a X-axis moving means 20 by which the drilling means are moved in the X direction, and also by which the drilling space in the X- direction at the time when it carries out drilling simultaneously with the drilling unit 19 on the other side can be set. The work W that has been moved by a work moving device 4 to the position shown by the two-dot chain line is simultaneously subjected to a plurality of drilling by the two sets of drilling units 18, 19 in two working zones, and when the drilling work at these working zones is completed, the work W is moved as much as a prescribed pitch, and similarly drilling is simultaneously carried out in the subsequent two working zones. This operation is continued up to the last working zone.
