To provide a multi-stage automatic transmission, particularly, a vehicular power divided countershaft transmission with a case 24 in which a plurality of power transmission passages are formed between a transmission input shaft 3 and a transmission output shaft 4 for shifting a shift stage, actualizing the shift stage via a plurality of shifting mechanism 8, 9, 10 connectable into one power transmission flow via shift elements 5, 6, 7 and having a reduced weight and manufacturing costs.
At least one of the shifting mechanisms 8, 9, 10 is supported into the case 24 in at least part so that radial force or tangential force on the shifting mechanisms 8, 9 can be guided directly into the case 24 when the shifting mechanism are in a connected condition.
