Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve pump efficiency by suppressing a flow force loss of a fluid in a multi-stage pump which comprises an impeller and a guide blade and generates a centrifugal force in the fluid.SOLUTION: A multi-stage pump 1 comprises: a main shaft 3 which is axially rotated; an impeller 4; a guide blade part 5; and a casing part 2 in which the impeller 4 is accommodated in a freely rotatable manner and the guide blade part 5 is fixed. Five pump stages 6 each configured by successively arranging the impeller 4 and the guide blade part 5 in an axial direction of the main shaft 3 and in a flow direction of a fluid L are arranged in the axial direction of the main shaft 3 inside of the casing part 2. A diameter of an impeller sidewall part 43 is smaller than a diameter of a guide blade sidewall part 53. Outside of a centrifugal side of the impeller sidewall part 43 and outside of a centrifugal side of the guide blade sidewall part 53, only a rotation space 61 configured as a flow channel 11 of the fluid L is present. A cross-sectional area of the rotation space 61 outside of the centrifugal side of the impeller sidewall part 43 is 230% or more and 275% or less in relative to a cross-sectional area of an inflow port of the impeller 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
