Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type multi-viewpoint three dimensional video display system constituted so that the need of spectacles is eliminated.
SOLUTION: A video projection screen 3 and a video projection part 18 are included. Then, the projection part 18 is constituted of two video projection parts 18a and 18b, two folding mirrors 19a and 19b for reflecting a multi- viewpoint video and electronic optical shutters 20a and 20b. The shutters 20a and 20b for transmitting the multi-viewpoint video and a projection lens 25 projecting the video transmitted through the shutters 20a and 20b toward the screen 3 are arranged in turn so as to project the video of the projection part 18 toward the screen 3. The multi-viewpoint videos of two channels formed by two video projection parts are respectively reflected on two reflection surfaces of the mirrors 19a and 19b and united in one visual field without making the visual fields corresponding to two channels overlap so that the number of multi-viewpoint videos as many as the number obtained by adding the number of multi-viewpoint videos in the respective channels is displayed.
