Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a shock sensor with multi-axial sensitivity.
CONSTITUTION: A housing 26 has a subframe 24 to mount one or more lead switch 22 thereto. A magnet 32 is mounted to a carriage 36 provided around the lead switch 22 via a joint with a degree of freedom 2. The carriage 36 has a coup 42 formed with a hole 34 encircling the subframe 24. The hole 34 has the semispherical face placed on the semispherical face of the base 40 of the subframe 24. A shell 52 fixed to the housing 26 has the inner face formed as a semispherical face 54 concentric with a semispherical face formed by the base of the subframe 24 and the ring 48 of the hole. The carriage 36 has the semispherical face engaged with the inner face of the shell 52 to be concentrically rotated with the shell 52. The carriage 36 is energized to a vertical position by a spring 70 extended between the base of the housing 26 and the lip 60 of the carriage.
